1834 French 40 Francs Gold coin

This post is regarding a 1834 A 40 Francs French gold coin.  It is graded by NGC as XF45 extra fine.   The front of it has King Louis Philippe (House of Orleans) who was the last of the French Kings and who reigned from 1830 to 1848.  He was known for being pro business and getting along well with Great Britain. Louis Philippe was forced to abdicate because of economic decline in a year that was not kind for European monarchs.   The reverse side of this coin shows the denomination in a wreath.

1968 Mexico 25 Pesos Silver Coin

 Here we'll take a look at a Mexico 1968 25 Pesos silver coin.   On the obverse or front side seen in the picture above we see an native dancing with the Olympic rings below.  This 72 percent silver coin celebrates the Summer Olympics which were held in Mexico City in October of 1968.  A Latin American country had not previously hosted the games.  Bob Beamon set a record long jumping 8.9 meters or 29.2 feet and George Forman win gold in boxing and not long after goes pro. The reverse side has the Mexican Coat of Arms with the eagle biting the snake.  This coin is available for purchase here .

Canada 10 C Special Delivery Stamp SC E7 Used

 In this post we see a Canada 10 Cents Special Delivery Stamp SC E7.  It is Used.   Canadian Special Delivery postage when put together with standard postage was used to speed up delivery of mail. They had a long run being issued 1898 until 1946.  In the center of the stamp appears to have an image of the the Coat of Arms of Canada  with it's country and service above. This stamp is available as part of the follow stamp lot for sale that includes back of book .
